🇩🇪 The second generation of ICE is disappearing: Until 2027, the entire fleet of DB’s ICE2 trains will be retired ⬇️These trains, built from 1994 to 1998, were considerably shorter than the previous generation, enabling 2 sets to be coupled to one another 🧑‍❤️‍💋‍🧑They are now being retired due to their age and lack of ETCS, which will become a necessity on its core routes from 2027 Weirdly enough, its older counterpart, the ICE1, has received updates recently to keep them operating for longer 👴🏻Are you going to miss these trains? 💬#ice2 #DeutscheBahn #DBfernverkehr #railcolor #Highspeedtrain
