A beloved piece of Dutch railway history is briefly returning to the tracks. In early 2025, the iconic Plan V train unit 904 nicknamed “De Karel”—will again run passenger services along the ‘Kippenlijn’ route between Amersfoort and Ede-Wageningen.

On March 12, 2025, the last postal half-trainset was transported to the scrapyard in Chalindry.

The seven TGV La Poste half-trains were part of the first generations of TGVs (TGV PSE) and ran at night on French high-speed lines from 1984 to 2015 to deliver mail.
